Please take a look at what S.D. Diensthund has acomplished recently!!

Another great trial.  San Diego Diensthund was very excited to be hosting another large summer trial.  We had many of our friends from Arizona and other parts of California entered.  The weather was great--typical San Diego, sunny and warm.  All the dogs did well and the handlers showed a great deal of comaraderie and sportsmanship.  We had several breeds entered (GSD, Malinois, Rot, and even a Bouvier), which made the weekend a lot of fun for specators.  The judging was tough, but consistant and fair, and by the end, we had some great scores and a lot of new titles!

January 2008

What a great way to bring in the new year!!  Another great trial, and another opportunity to see great dogs, great sportsmanship and great teams--and HORRIBLE weather!!  All of the handlers and our judge, Mr. Nathaniel Roque, really showed their dedication and spirit this weekend.
Due to the bad weather, many of the younger/inexperienced dogs gave it a great effort, but had a rough time (most have probably never seen weather like that, let alone tracked in it!!), and even some of the older dogs had a rough time.  There were a few dogs that were able to persevere and track very nicely, while dragging their handlers through the mud Laughing  Field work began in the early afternoon with the Bh dogs.  The SchH dogs followed and protection concluded the trial.  We got to see everything in this trial...some dogs that just couldn't really get over the weather (we couldn't either--it was the topic of conversation all day!!), some younger dogs that really stepped up to the plate and gave a great effort and showed very well, and some new handlers that recieved their Bh on their first dog (big smiles) and mostly it was a chance for handlers (new and old), spectators and all dog enthusiasts to get together and enjoy eachother's company.  It was a great beginning to 2008!!

Wow!!  What a club trial...we had 23 entries over 2 days (11 Bh and 12 SchH dogs).  We had many teams from out of town that showed very well, despite the long hours driving.  Our club members did a fantastic job of putting the trial together, so that everybody could have a great experience.  Our judge, Craig Groh was also fantastic.  He helped the new handlers and gave great critiques.  Our decoys, Danny, Jim and Joe also did a great job catching all the dogs smoothly and safely--and there were lots of them to catch!!

Our winter club trial with judge, Johannes Grewe went very well.  We had nice weather, but due to an impending storm near the judge's home, we really hustled through the day!!  Our decoys, Danny and Joe, did a great job catching all the dogs smoothly and safely.  Over all, despite the rush, everyone had a great time.
