good, CERF: 2008)
Karli v Eschenhagen "Karli" BH (OFA: good/normal, CERF: 2008)
|
Ted has been working for the Port of San Diego since 1997--currently
he is an I.T. manager. He brews his own beer and has had that as a hobby since 2004. His home brewed beer
has become a favorite treat at club gatherings. He started with Rottweilers in 1981 and has loved them ever since (plus
the family cocker spaniel-that was a surprise!!). He did AKC obedience and tracking prior to joining the club. Ted
and Kraken began their schutzhund training together, so they have been learning a lot since 2004. Ted hopes to
finish Kraken to his SchH3 and possibley compete with him, but for now, they are working on their SchH2 and also to complete
the BST (breed suitability test). Karli is still young, so her SchH3 will have to wait, but Ted is hoping
to get her ready for her Bh later this year. Recently, Ted has begun to learn some decoy work, and he is excited
to help work the dogs at the club.

Steve Seabolt, Vice President
CHAX zo Solivarskeho dvora "Max" Bh (OFA: good/normal, CERF: 2008)
|
Steve is self-employed, and his professional time is spent between several international commercial endeavors,
focusing mainly on marketing, finance and supply chain management. He has been doing this since 1996. His commercial
endeavors were the catalyst for purchasing Max. He imported Max from Slovakia in December of 2005, and after
a period of adjustment, they settled into a comfortable routine--which included becoming an adored family pet. Steve
visited and joined the club in January 2007 to help create a stronger working partnership with Max and learn more about handling
etc. His goals for Max are to continue creating a strong working team, gain their SchH3 and to learn
and train with together as long as Max enjoys taking the field. Steve and Max earned their Bh after only 4
months of work, so we look forward to this team's future success.

and is working on his FH. Chris has just begun his competition career and is working towards his SchH3, along with
his brother that is also in the club, Cal (better known as Riggs owned by Joe Deguzman). Della, the youngest of
Bob's dogs is still very young, but eventually Bob hopes that she will finish her SchH3 and her Breed Survey.

Alex
Temple of the Tree's Blitzkrieg "Blitz"
|
Michelle is a third grade school teacher at Glen View Elementary.
She is on several committees and is working on her masters degree with a special interest in "English/second language
learners". She became interested in dog sport through her husband and Jake (also in the club), and got Temple
of the Tree's Blitzkrieg in February 2007. She is hoping to learn about schutzhund and continue to compete
in agility with the new puppy. Her first dog training experiences are with agility. She began training in
agility around 1999 with her rescue malinois, Alex. Since they began, they have earned the titles of CL1-R (level
1 standard) and NAC-V (novice agility class vetran). She has enjoyed hitting the field with her new puppy
and starting to train Alex in tracking.

Eric Tran
Rocky Tran
II BH
|
Eric works at San Diego Volvo as a mechanic and has
been there since 1999. He moved with his family from Vietnam in 1981. He has two dogs, Lala (chihuahua)--named
by his two daughters and Rocky (GSD). He got Rocky after his old GSD passed away. Eric was referred to the
club by a past S.D. Diensthund member. The club first met Rocky when he was only 8 weeks old, and since then, Eric and
Rocky have made lots of progress. Rocky shows lots of enthusiasm for his work and has a great relationship with his
handler. Eric's plans for Rocky include titling him to his SchH3 and competing with him at as high a level as they
can.

Joe Deguzman
Cal v Haus
Simmons "Riggs" BH
Temple of the Tree's Ares "Ares" CHIC (OFA: excellent/normal,
CERF: 2008)
|
Joe works two jobs. His main job is with
PSC Electronics, where he is an Assembly and Inspection Supervisor. He is responsible for making sure that all the custom
cables are correct before shipping. He has been working there since 1997. His other job is at a 76 Gas
Station, and he has been there since 2000. When he is not at work, he is working two dogs, plus he works hard for
the club, as one of our decoys. He has been active in the sport since 2003 and began to decoy in 2006. He has
3 dogs, but only 2 of them are working. His first dog, Nala (Rott) was the one that got him interested
in the sport, but she wasn't too excited about the protection work, so she has been retired to house dog duty.
His next dog, Riggs (GSD), he got from the breeder (Bob Simmons) because he had grown up to be too much dog for his original
handler. As a puppy Riggs was a mellow guy, but as he grew up, he developed tons of drive and energy, which has made him
a great working partner for Joe. His other working dog is Ares (Mal). Joe got Ares after he saw his
parents (Bico and Annie--both in the club) work. Ares has gotten the best of both his parents, great drive, great personality
and he is very handsome too!! His goals for his boys are to get their SchH3s and then hopefully go on to compete at
higher levels. Joe is one of our hardest working club members and he has two great boys, so we have
high hopes for very successful working careers.

Jason Herzog
Scyron ot Vitosha
"Scyron" Bh (OFA: excellent/normal)
|
Jason works in the cellular communication industry.
He also is active as a MMA (mixed martial arts) fighter and referee. He has been featured on Showtime's Elite XC
program and has competed and refereed fights internationally. Jason first started in dog sport around 2001 with a GSD.
He also worked a dutch shepherd, but started training seriously with a rottweiler. Jason also works hard for
the club as a decoy. His athleticism and experience help the club's younger dogs and his willingness to do suit
work give the club's older dogs a chance to "play". His current dog is a malinois (first malinois), named
Scyron that he got as a 7 week old puppy. Due to a busy schedule etc Jason and Scyron took a 3 year hiatus and just
recently came back to earn their Bh at the club's Summer 2007 trial. Jason has set some high goals for himself and
Scyron; he hopes to get their SchH3 and compete nationally and beyond.
